The Position
Norcada is currently looking for a Technical Product and Sales Lead to assist with product configuration, business development, sales and product delivery activities. The main responsibilities in this position include handling sales inquiries, configuring products and options with our clients, quotation and proposal development, supporting marketing activities, and "lead to sales to shipment" support of our customers. This is a full time, permanent position with medical and pension benefits.
In this role, you will be responsible for, or you will be supporting, the design, customization, product development, and voice of customer activities in a variety of product lines that are made to go to space, work in ultrahigh vacuum systems, enable the next generation of microscopy and microanalysis, or build the next generation of quantum devices.

Key Responsibilities
· Customer interaction including phone and online sales engagement. We are active in international markets and work may extend outside of the regular “9 to 5”.
· Preparation of standard and custom quotes and handling customer queries
· Supporting our client development and account management, including shipping and after-sales support
· Maintaining internal information management systems and lead tracking
· Working with our technical team to analyze business opportunities
· Supporting conferences, exhibitions, webinar and tradeshow events, including travel to various countries
· Coordinating people, projects, and sales activities and supporting our world-renowned delivery excellence

Qualifications and Experience
· Post-secondary education in engineering, business, science, or related area (BSc, BCom, or MBA)
· Two years of experience in sales or customer interaction, ideally in engineering, manufacturing, microscopy and microanalysis, and/or product management fields
· Proven experience in developing proposals and project plans
· Training and experience in process management or project management
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as work experience in CRM (Salesforce)
· Experience with CAD software would be an asset (Programs such as L-Edit, KLayout Pro-E, SolidWorks, Fusion360, Inventor, etc.)
· Knowledge of sensor-tech, semiconductor, MEMS, and/or microscopy/microanalysis industries

The Ideal Candidate
· Has worked developing, making, selling or supporting microanalysis solutions, especially in-situ analysis for X-ray or electron microscopy and/or spectroscopy
· Has experience working in the high-tech sector, especially working with products made for vacuum environment
· Has excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
· Has the ability to work independently and in cooperation with customers and collaborators in various countries
· Has the ability to collaborate with various engineering and non-technical teams
· Feels comfortable working assertively in a deadline-driven environment
· Is detail-oriented and organized
· Lives in the greater Edmonton Area or is willing to relocate to Edmonton
· Willing and able to travel to conferences, trade shows and customer sites

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
